The First Tea Party
On November the 25th 2015, the Grade 5/6 Anola Girls Group enjoyed a traditional English tea party, hosted by Mrs. Troyon and Ms.Mckormic. Included was traditional English afternoon tea/ice-tea, mini finger sandwiches, pastries and some divine biscuits that the gentleman he is, Mr.Jaqubec shared.
Full china with an adorable tea pot, along with Champagne Glass mimosas were used, and Mrs. Troyon quoted`` this was not only a fun experience for the girls but also a learning experience. They not only made polite conversation with each other but were taught how to properly act, eat, and drink like a lady.’’
Deborah also mentioned that many families have lost the connection that connected them because of the lack of communication/interaction between one another. Having small gatherings once in a while can regain that connection and weave families tighter to one another.
Everyone agrees this was an entertaining activity and hope that in the future there will be more of these gatherings. Deborah says she sees future tea parties with different groups too.
